Following the latest lockdown announcements, the government’s 22-page document on the new lockdown rules in England state that TV and film production can continue:

The DCMS and British Film Commission have confirmed that film production activity is not affected by the new restrictions due to come into effect on 5th Nov. Therefore, Screen Suffolk (the county’s film services provider) will continue to promote Suffolk assets to the film industry and facilitate filming across the locations.

All producers wishing to film in Suffolk are expected to sign a declaration stating that they will work within COVID safety guidance prepared by the British Film Commission, developed in liaison with Government and industry.

All filming requests will be carefully examined by the Film Officers. Risk Assessments / Method Statements must be created by the production company which will state how they intend to protect the public (and their own crew) from COVID transmission and infection.

We expect all filmmakers to follow social distancing rules, and to take measures to protect the public. With this in mind we require all Cast & Crew to undertake the free Screen Skills
Coronavirus Basic Awareness on Production

We have created a document called “Additional Terms and Conditions – Covid-19” which you must get signed by your producer.
