Screen Suffolk wants to create an environment in Suffolk that allows the ﬁlm industry to thrive. This means developing the skills, interest, understanding and enthusiasm that will allow it to do so.

A range of established training providers (British Film Institute, Creative England, Creative Skillset), with whom we have strong working relationships, are active throughout the country. We would love to bring them to Suffolk, and if there is the demand, they would love to come.

Our crew database is for industry professionals based anywhere in East Anglia, who are willing to work in Sufolk without charging overnights.

WHAT IS IT?

The Screen Suffolk Partnership is an agreement between Screen Suffolk, local authorities and agencies, and professional organisations engaged with the film industry in Suffolk. It sets out the approach and behaviours we agree to adopt when facilitating and participating in ﬁlming in the county.

WHY DO WE NEED IT?

Screen Suffolk wants to promote Suffolk as the most film-friendly county in the UK. Our aim is to ensure the film-making is Suffolk is a positive experience for everyone concerned – ﬁlm-makers, residents, local businesses and visitors. We believe that the local, national and international ﬁlm industry will respond, if we create the right conditions. But before we can claim to be ‘ﬁlm-friendly’, we have to earn our reputation.
