New Crew Directory Launched


We are open for business and we are Covid-19 trained and  promoting the region as the place to film in this new era.

We want to make it as easy as possible for productions to access crew for their productions and as of today have launched a brand new crew database. Anyone who can work in Suffolk without requiring an overnight stay can register.

The Screen Suffolk Crew Database’s user friendly registration process will allow professionals to update their details on an ongoing basis and upload headshots/cv along with details of their experience and skills.

Last year numerous Films and TV were shot in the county, the summer smash ‘Yesterday’ was shot all around and based in Suffolk using many crew from the area.

Screen Suffolk assisted the production ‘The Dig’ with onset crew. The film which is the true story of the discovery of Sutton Hoo, featuring Ipswich born Ralph Feinnes and Cary Mulligan which shot at Butley, Thorpeness and around Snape using Snape Maltings as a base for all the crew and facilities.

The Personal History of David Copperfield’ being released this year – they spent time in the region and also made use of our crew contacts.

The new Screen Suffolk Crew Database will work alongside Screen Suffolk’s existing offer of great locations, competitive overnight stay rates, and first class facilities.
